Roush Presented 2013 Ford Mustang At Charity Auction

The modified Mustang has become one of the items auctioned at the 25th Anniversary Celebration of SAE Foundation. In fact, they raised more than $400,000 for helping fund education programs. Also, the event was seen by Edsel B. Ford II who was presented with the SAE Industry Leadership Award, given for his ongoing charity work and engineering improvements. As for the 2013 Ford Mustang car, it is based on the 2013 Ford Mustang GT, though it features a supercharged Roush 5.0-liter V-8. That’s really perfect for 540 pound-feet of torque and 625 horsepower. In addition, it has been painted in truly unique silver livery, offering a racing customized interior. Perhaps, the key thing about the car is that it bears the signatures of 3 founders: Bill Ford Jr., Edsel Ford II and Jack Roush. So, considering all that has gone into this car, the $100 000 price is probably a bargain. Indeed, think of similar Mustangs which are sold at recent charity auctions being fetched up to $400k. So, Roush will pilot its Mustang as the pace car, until the new owner receives the delivery. The next event is NASCAR Sprint Cup 2013, scheduled at Michigan International Speedway for June, 17.
