Those who love Pony Cars should place a bid on this excellent 2005 Ford Mustang GT

While the S197 generation Ford Mustang is not considered old by many, some notable examples of this type of Pony Car have generated significant attention at auctions lately. This includes a remarkable 2005 GT with only 1,200 miles and a well-maintained 2008 Roush Speedster. Another outstanding vehicle has been added to this list - a 2005 Ford Mustang GT with only 40,000 miles, which is now available for virtual bidding on Bring a Trailer.

To make things even better, the original owner of this 2005 Ford Mustang GT had it until only last month, when the dealer selling it purchased it. This means that the car is in excellent condition, as if it were new. The vehicle is coated in a lustrous and appealing Windveil Blue Metallic, and comes with a set of traditional five-spoke cast-aluminum wheels that are fitted with 235/55 Pirelli P Zero Nero tires.

The gray interior of the vehicle is also in exceptional condition and looks new. The leather seats are comfortable, and the car comes with many features, including a power-adjustable driver's seat, a split-folding rear seat, air conditioning, and an aftermarket Pioneer touchscreen stereo that replaces the original head unit. This is the only modification made to the vehicle, which is in pristine condition.

Upon opening the hood, we see a recognizable engine from the era when Ford produced this car. The naturally-aspirated Ford 4.6L V8 engine, which produces 300 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque in this version, is revealed. This power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission, ensuring excellent performance even by today's high standards.

While this 2005 Ford Mustang GT may not be old, uncommon, or very sought-after, it is undoubtedly one of the best-looking S197 models we've seen in a while. For those who are looking to purchase a car and hold onto it for future value, we believe that this vehicle is a wise choice.
