2013 Ford Mustang V6 Pony Package Adds Fresh Style to Entry Model

Ford is giving Mustang V6 buyers something extra to smile about with the introduction of the new 2013 V6 Pony Package. Designed specifically for the base Mustang model, the package brings a collection of appearance upgrades that add more attitude and classic pony car style without changing the car’s proven performance formula.

While the Mustang GT receives the California Special Package aimed at V8 enthusiasts, the V6 Pony Package focuses on enhancing the visual appeal of the 3.7-liter V6 version of the iconic muscle car. The result is a more aggressive and premium-looking Mustang that still maintains the affordability and efficiency of the entry-level model.

Although Ford has not released a complete equipment breakdown, several exterior upgrades have already been confirmed. The package includes new chrome accents around the front grille and fog lights, giving the Mustang a more refined front-end appearance. A rear spoiler is also added to boost the sporty styling, while a fresh set of 18-inch alloy wheels helps complete the upgraded look.

Like the California Special Package, the V6 Pony Package is expected to focus mainly on cosmetic enhancements rather than mechanical upgrades. That means the Mustang’s capable 3.7-liter V6 engine remains unchanged, continuing to deliver an impressive 305 horsepower.

Even without additional performance modifications, the V6 Mustang already offers strong acceleration and unmistakable muscle car character. With the Pony Package installed, buyers can now enjoy extra visual flair to match the car’s already confident personality.
