This is chassis #638 of just 747 units produced in Ford’s exclusive lineup of track-focused Boss 302 Mustangs. The Laguna Seca edition shown here has covered only 3,700 miles (5,954 km), with its 5.0-liter V8 paired to a six-speed manual transmission.
According to the seller, the car was previously listed on Bring a Trailer in December 2019, where bidding reached $33,750, although the deal was never completed. More recently, the highest bid has climbed to $26,500.
So why consider spending that kind of money on a seven-year-old Mustang? The answer lies in its performance-focused engineering and limited production status.
Finished in black with contrasting silver accents on the hood, rear wing, mirrors, and side panels, the car stands out visually while staying true to its motorsport roots. The Laguna Seca package adds serious track capability, including stiffer manually adjustable shocks derived from the Boss 302R race car, larger anti-roll bars, 19-inch wheels, and upgraded Brembo front brakes. It also features Recaro sport seats trimmed in Alcantara, a Torsen limited-slip differential, and a rear-seat delete for weight reduction.
Despite its track-oriented nature, the car retains everyday conveniences such as SYNC with Bluetooth, a CD stereo, air conditioning, and cruise control.
Under the hood, the 5.0-liter V8 delivers 444 horsepower and 380 lb-ft (515 Nm) of torque—more than a standard Mustang GT of the same era. While it may not be the quickest car in a straight line at this price point, its rear-wheel-drive setup and manual gearbox make it exceptionally engaging on the track.
When it was new, this 2013 Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca carried a sticker price of $50,465, reinforcing its status as a purpose-built performance machine.
